Although dead for while


In surreal dreams you appear


A magical and enchanting smile


 


As time slowly stands still


Floating on a white, fluffy cloud


Sliding down a slippery hill


 


Finally meeting you over there


Missing each other throughout life


Similar thoughts we still share


 


Special visit from me this evening


Filling that forever, empty void


There was so much grieving


 


Good to see you are doing ok


You still think of me often


Though it was time to go away


 


Feeling your hand on mine


Your fingers are still icy cold


Touching you brings back time


 


Hearing heavy drops of rain


Waking up to your memory


In my heart you will always remain

Your expressions of deep feelings and loss are reflected in this poem. I've always thought it amazing how the mind can create pictures of deceased loved one more vividly than the conscious mind can do. "Waking up to your memory..." is a lovely way to end your poem.

Staci, a visit from those we loved so much brings smiles, tears, and the ability to almost touch them...I've experienced this with those I loved so much and they were called away. We never forget them...it takes just a dream to bring the memories and the warmth of our love for them flowing back into our hearts.
