Memories wrapped so tightly in my mind

Each room bringing the past and the present completely intertwined

I can hear laughter and promises, love and happiness

Within these colorful walls that were once yours and mine

Wrapped so beautifully in time

Was it you, was it me, a whole lifetime that went by so quickly

But these walls, what they know, and what they have seen

Are now just faded colors of a ruined dream

Wrapped beautifully in time

Each room brings light and dark of what was, and what could have been

Voices of the past are whispering as I walk these halls

Never again what once lived here, ruined by anger and pride

No compromise, no fixing, no desire to see the truth inside

Wrapped beautifully in time

Destiny does not live here anymore, but was it ever

As I walk past these walls, feeling dark shadows of each corner I find

Tear drops flow as I pass these hallways of broken hopes

Rooms once breathing a lovely life, is now just a memory in my mind

These walls, only know what could have been

Wrapped beautifully in time

Very beautiful but achingly painful. We all have two types of memories both good and bad...but just as certain scent of a flower triggers a good memory, the smell of something else can trigger a bad. Still, memories are what make us and move us forward. Well done Staci...

Stacy,
This is really good. You depicted so well a ruined relationship using a house (your house). Hope you are doing well. I remember you.
