Sprinkles in the atmosphere

Landing wherever it feels right

Even something standing very near

Talent in your soul will never die

Something so dear to your heart

So you know you want to try

Dispersed in air never to return

There is goes high in the sky

A great lesson you have learned

Now pick it up and just play

Feel that adrenaline rushing

Like you used to in past days

Suddenly so very quiet and soft

Now play it hard and super fast

Hear you favorite instrument talk

Dust collector there it once stood

But now creating a natural high

For you to be fulfilled, as it should

Play your own music once again

Make time for what you love in life

Your passion will last until the end

Nice work, the talents one carries must not be left to hold dust...we must strive to utilize our skills and instruments of life...

Staci, we are all given special talents and we should use them to fill our hearts with joy and pride. It's something no one can take from us...it makes us live! Once you start doing whatever the dust settle on...you'll feel as though you had never quit. I liked this!

So enlightening!
We all have the tendencies to put away the things that seem to really matter...Thanks for the reminder, we all need to continue enhancing our gifts, no matter how much time has slipped us by...
Love and Peace~

well,, I do have a clarinet in the attic,,lol On a serious "note" I saw a program of a lady that still carves fiddles,,, she is so very old, but she can play and dance like there was no more tomorrow, such an inspiration as is your poem.

Yes well said, as I look at my old guitar sitting in the corner and all the songs that will never be sang...thoughts of the lost heart.
