This is the first poem and title poem of the poetry primer, LET A NEW WOMAN RISE.

I am Isis! I am Inzinga! I am strong, complete I walk Earth, clothed in my African Glory. Warrior Woman Soul I survived the African Holocaust. That the wonder. Truth And majesty of my ancestors be told. I am Harriet! Sojourner! Rosa! Betty! Winnie! Black! Royal! Proud! Serious and Brave! On a mission called Freedom. Called Justice. Willing to fight. To die to unify that posterity be saved. Never more enslaved by any! I am African Female my spirituality, reality in tact. The power of the Most High propels me, tells me It�s a time to stand up! There�s no turning back. We are Nubian Sisters, Warriors. No more getting off track. We�re on our way Black! Praying, fasting, meditating, marching in our Royal African Glory. Warrior Women�s Souls. We legislate the future, we are Holy Ghost Bold! We will the minds of our babies back Behold a New Woman! ~~~
