Weeding In The Garden Of Our Soul

Old painful memories can drain your energy, but weeding them out can bring about new hope and joy into your life.

Weeding In the Garden of Our Soul

by Amber "V" Moonstone    4/15/08

Some days we need
to take the time to weed;

When those days emerge
We should promptly purge

All the dead roots of the past
in order to heal negativity cast

on to our present state
that fills our emotional plate.

Run in your garden of pleasure,
weeding as you measure

the time it takes to plant seedlings
like diamonds given to kings,

these seedlings will grow and sprout
and spread nourishment all about,

remembering the child within,
that is free to feel and begin,

healing wounds of old,
by forgiving what is told,

within the Weeded garden of your soul.

Maybe God put weeds in our garden so we need to be down on our knees and thank Mother Earth for the bountiful she let grow in our "garden".

lIKE TO WEED OUT OF MY SYSTEM BUT HAVE TO KEEP PHOTO OF DECEASED HUBBY tOM on my refrig to view all the time throughout the day when I am home. and usually at night when I do get in from my outings throughout the day. hate a lonely home with out him.

Very nicely done Amber. It is true that we can thin out the badder part of our memories and retain the ones that make us glow. For even when love goes bad there are always things, if we chose to remember them and not hate, that are warm.
