My Heart Was Held Hostage

by Amber "V" Moonstone

7/19/09

Diabolically sneaking into my dreams
holding my heart hostage it seems.
No one can touch me like you do,
a sad thought so true .

Upon the dawning of a new day,
You were on my mind to my dismay.
I thought I was rid of these feelings,
Now I find myself with many dealings

Of conflicting thoughts and desires,
that immediately requires
a clearing of this energy of darkness,
to return to my state of blissfulness.

I am over you but in my dreams
you held my heart hostage it seems,
I will allow another to touch me once again,
to bring my life back to harmony and zen.

We no longer worked as one,
there was no more fun,
there was no more trust
and parting was a must.

The depths of dreaming brings it clear,
showing me that I am very far from there,
I believe it makes you realize one thing,
that it's now time to have a passionate fling!!!

Universe hear my words of passion call,
send a love that surpasses all,
so that my heart will be

hostage free!

Can't say as I've had this experience. I have had the crush that never knew fruition. That has a way of sticking around for ages. A well written poem:)

As always your words and your passion's insight shines on love and hearts like a soft spotlight. The loves we have in our lifetime whether they be a one night stand that ends with a closing door or a long time love that never ends are all part of who we are. Great capture and hope you and Christine enjoy your visit together.

Dear Amber, your poem is so well written! It is very common that the dream reflects the feeling and the thoutghs. You are a lovely poet who knows how to express the real sentiment of a human being. Love Emile

Amber,

Finally getting over a lost love, and setting yourself free, what a wonderful feeling. I think we've all gone through this at different stages of life.
