My prison is the world of my making,

I’m trapped in vacuum with no escape,

With regrets and sorrows not abating,

Attacking my poor heart with vicious rape.

Into blissful silence oft’ I escaped,

Silence was my friend, now it is my foe,

Into silence my heart and soul was draped,

Out of the silence now bitterness flow.

I wish to make silence my friend again,

I want my soul to roam the silent sky,

The joys of flight I wish to regain,

And I want to bid my prison goodbye.

I raise my eyes pleadingly to the skies…

…All around me the silence loudly cries…

Dark night of the soul. There are gifts there, though they come at the price of sorrow and doubt. Your poems always flow and rhyme so beautifully, Peter. This is the work of a craftsman...Silence will be your friend again. You know life's ebb & flow is just like those waves on the shore. Lovely pic...

Warm Regards,
Lin
