Another time, another place,
Your tender kiss, your warm embrace;
Sweet memories time can't erase,
Sweet thoughts of that smile on your face.
Remembering when you were there,
The look in your eyes, your thick dark hair;
All the special times that you shared,
Thinking of the way that you cared.
Memories of those days gone by,
Memories that will never die;
Sweet memories, he questions why,
Thinking those thoughts of you, he cries.
Thinking how quickly your love grew,
The special feelings that you knew;
Angel, your moments were too few,
Thinking the sweetest thoughts of you.
As he travels every day,
He will remember you that way;
Those few days seem like yesterday,
He thanks God and to Him, he prays.
That He will bring you back together,
You made it through much stormy weather;
Hope the love comes through in this letter,
With you, his life could be much better.
It is a great poem. Jeanette makes a valid observation about the last stanza. It maybe worth thinking about editing it out.
The dead cliche does not do the other stanzas justice.

A bit melancholy, but wishful. Your poem started out as though you were remembering someone special in your life, and then in the last paragraph it sounds like it applies to someone else. It is a warm and caring appeal. A lovely write.

Been away in London on business for a while and not time to read poetry...this caught my eye this morning and it reminded me of a woman I let go many years ago.. I didn't fight hard enough for her and it has always been a regret. I remember reading you are married someplace, so if this is your wife, there is always time for a second chance - don't let the vows you took and the life you built be in vain, with this kind of love, it is worth all you can do to save it. Take it from a man who knows. Keep up the great writings.. it's nice to finally be back in the USA.
