How wise of you to put an end to us
How perfect was your timing, was your style
You were right to let the coldness into your heart
Pushing love aside and with it love’s pain
At least that’s what I tell my self about us
At least that’s the story I endorse
Truth is, the pain grows inside me
Doubting my ability to continue on alone
When you needed me the sun found its way into my heart
When you needed me the world was good and bright
But there’s nothing like a never healing wound
The kind of wound that kills all hope inside
Yet even now my love for you is true and strong
Even now my fondness still survives
Forgive me if I hold on to a love no longer shared
Forgive my need to feel alive.

This is excellently written and so poignant, too...
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
