Bird in Flight

Wings outstretched, soaring high Neck reaching toward the midnight sky Just how high can this bird fly Just how high might she try No longer held here on the ground No longer by this earth be bound Soaring, gliding without a sound Seems a new life this bird has found In this her new life she takes flight Sailing neath the rich moon light A new love she will meet tonight A shining star so full and bright Together they will fly away Loving, laughing, and also play Bound these spirits are this day Forever on this time she preys.
