Abuse betraying trust Bruises replacing hope Conditioned to take the blame An evil insidious game Doubts consuming self worth Hiding from fear itself Victim of a twisted soul A sentence without a parole Helpless to take control Dependent and yet alone Intervention never comes Nowhere to turn nowhere to run And so the story goes Society�s heart turn cold Civilization erodes Satan delights with every blow Sanctuary seems found Numbness through substance consumed A spirit surrendered A body broken and old Too much pain to endure Too much pain to endure
The abuse of women and children is an insedious cancer that destroys the fabric of decency and humanity.

Wow! This has touched so very close to home.
I am in tears.
I would love for you to read my poem "As a Spider Weaves~Hearts do Weep".
Once one is able to see, and chooses to fight..the battle, seems never ending..One can become so very, very tired.

Michael...you have captured the horror of abuse with the magic of your keyboard. Abuse is one of the worst things to have to endure..and hardly ever reported. Would you read my ' Why Don't Mommy Love Me? ' for another kind of abuse? Thank you , Michael for enlightening us!
