What if I trust you, will you hurt me? What if I allow you into my heart am I a fool? What if we someday we grow apart; will I survive? What if we become US, does that scare you? Can you understand my doubts? Do you see my fear in this? Is it the loving or the leaving I fear? Help me to believe we are real. Rescue and heal my trampled heart. Or leave me now, before the hurting starts. Don’t lead me to heartbreak, I beg you. What if I am lost, will you find me? What if we do this, will you stay? What if it’s right? What if it’s wrong? What if we belong here if only for today? What will we lose if we don’t try?
As they say my friend, its better to have loved and lost then never feel love at all. I say go for it, Michael!

SO very true... This reminds me of my "Conversations With Self" article where I talk about my fears of loving again. Very real fears Michael. You have captured it so well.

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
