All the fears and the pain
Scars that time can’t erase
A touch betrays the trust
Dreams are crushed to dust
Shame consuming faith

You can see it in their eyes
You can hear it in their cries
Childhood trying to survive
Hearts raped from Innocence
Victims of each offense
Love becoming life’s lie

Demons infect the soul
Never resting life unfolds
Denial protecting shame
Succumbing to the hate
Loneliness the final fate
The suffering remains
