Everyday before I rise
Before the sun lights the sky
Upon my self a new disguise
To hide myself from prying eyes
Through the day I wear it well
Fooling all, no one can tell
What I'm really all about
Causing not the slightest doubt
That I am no more than I seem
A man of such consistent theme
Each night before I go to sleep
From my disguise I slowly creep
No need for such in my dreams
I get along by other means
A hero’s heart I wear there proud
Not hidden by my daytime shroud
There is where my truth is found
Soaring high not on the ground
But come the dawn I start again
My disguise my one true friend
