yeah, this is life for me think i have been listening to too much Hank, Merle, Toby, Trace and George today, lol.
this tired ass now out of bed making sure the cat is fed bones that ache and then give way i probably should't be up in the light of day how old i am i cannot tell since my health's gone all to hell i'm surely not December-but am i May? i probably shouldn't think this in the light of day drawn to you like that dumb moth to the flame from day one with you nothing's been the same oh, i'll burn my ass-but then, who's to say? i probably shouldn't debate it in the light of day all the ways i'd like to have you-hmm... i bet there are some we never even knew come on over, big boy, don't you wanna play? i probably shouldn't say this in the light of day damn, i should be sleeping instead of writing this dull thing work to do tomorrow and bills to pay but i probably shouldn't love you in the light of day

This is honest and has the scent of raw truth; the reader cannot help but be deeply affected. I don't know who are Hank, Merle, Toby, Trace and George but they obviously inspired you. (I'm assuming they are singers/musicians but I could be wrong.) By the way, I do not think this poem is dull at all. Thank you for sharing it. I love this new and almost inspired style and format for you Michelle it seems to suit you so well. As for the aching bones and staying in bed I can understand both all too well (dragging my own butt this AM). Now as for the wanting that shines with a smile I am sure that "Big Boy" would be knocking down that door and dragging you back to bed...work be damned. lol
