Poem Artwork

Come ride with me
On an adventure great!

From Georgia’s eastern shore
To California’s southern glitz!

A wish I spoke that is coming true

A wish to see a great nation

From sea to shining sea

I must have wished on the right star

The tractor pulling at 65 miles per hour

The miles seem to fly by

We crossed four states today

And sleep well into the fifth

I have learned to watch out

For four wheelers on the road

Automobiles running to pull out

So they are not stuck behind a truck!

Come ride with me

Across our great country

Savannah to Los Angeles

And who knows where next

Come share in this adventure

You are welcome on the truck

The music plays, Heart, ZZ Top and others

Blinking the lights for an all clear and thank you.\

What sights we will see

I cannot tell

I have not seen them yet

But we will!

I would be overjoyed to ride shotgun with such an adventursome young lady such as sweet little old you. Keep the pedal to the metal and the smokies at your back door.

So what if you get to see it as you are passing through. You still see it. You got a happy Walt here. Seeing you do it.
