Worn Out Shoes

this contains additional verses that changes the genre of the recent posting of 'only one shoe'...or does it?

What do you do when you've worn out one shoe
from trying to hop non-stop

Stand on your head...look under your bed
find the other to wear out too

What do you do when you've worn out both shoes
by simply shuffling along

Sratch your head...crawl into your bed
wait for a delivery of new

I have a callous
I got without malice
From dragging my feet on the floor
My feet are all scratchy
You'd think I'm Apache
Cause my soles do not hurt anymore

To me, the addition of the verses does not change the genre but perhaps the theme. I find some metaphorical meaning in the wearing out of shoes; comparing that to life's tasks and travails. Thank you, Pat. Love and best wishes,
