This so reminds me of something I wrote long ago "OUT with the old and IN with the new...get rid of those demons who lied to you. Dispense with the wicked and the things that we fear. Throw out the evil self evident and clear. You're on the right path without any doubt. Make room for true happiness once everyone's out."

While reading this, I felt ample resolution being not just realized, but well-defined. "..demons of dullard/despair.." "...refuge of clamoring doubts..." For me, the glint comes from these words: "Chant no more/the annoying dirge". The command of that clause holds no question. Strength comes off this page like a flexed muscle that had been resting and unapparent. ~~ Diana

Why am I thinking Shakespeare? “Out damned spot!” Sounds like it's time to take charge and be positive about things. Bravo!

Pat: I drank too much last night on a harbor cruise. You have expresssed my feelings perfectly. Everybody out! For I shall heal and soar again. But not today...

Somehow, this made me think of the time Jesus commanded the demons to leave a man, and they begged to go into the herd of pigs nearby instead. (they really needed a home, didn't they?) Jesus allowed it, but the herd of pigs then plunged over a cliff. Apparently, they were as upset at the prospect of devils' rule as you are.
Then, the song comes to mind..."Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace."
