callin' detroit out there some where callin' detroit a friend of mine callin' detroit be so kind answer your telephone detroit don't leave me alone got a problem with my life imange that it's an x x wwife callin' detroit answer your phone callin' detroit dont' leave me alone whata' i say anyway whata i do with 1 left shoe? callin' detroit not shoe i spelled it write oh well try as i might oh hell do as i will callin' detroit any way you spell callin' detroit ain't no way to tell what i'm thinkin' what i'll do but detroit i'm callin' you hello elvis merle & johnny cash slim & jim & all of them jimmy & janis and all those old singers remeber the old gunslingers jonny horton and the streets of laredo sum other song about a tornado elvis's pelvis the beetles 2 or 3 o 4 it's rock-n-roll we adore but ain't i a bore callin' detroit answer the phone callin' you callin' elvis callin' home

Hahaha! This poem's got some references to some good ole singers long gone, plus some funny lines and also some melancholy ones like the last stanza:
