i wish i could write
about that night
my mom died
June 13, 2003

i had tried to be there
as best i could be
when she needed me
for her
still seeem's like a blurr

but today
i can still see
the blank eyes
the goodbyes
the night she died
June 13, 2003

and my dad
is still so sad
to this day
it won't go away

remberin' what he had
what can i say?
"too bad"
how sad!

she's gone her way
what can i say?

drive's you mad
so sad
rememberin' what they had

death's blank eyes
the wonderin' why's
the last try's
the cry's

i wish i could write
a poem about that last night
someday
i just may
say
what i feel
someday i just might heal

but not today
the pain won't go away

but i wish i could write
about that last night

about how i felt
about how i dealt
when she died

i wish i could write
so that i might
let it go
and so...
i just write
about that night

hopin' i might
just know
i did my best
i passed the test
now i can lay her to rest

i just wish i could write
about that night
and then i might......
know what to write!

I would say that you just did write about that night, tis' enough that you notice and remember it this year. My mom passed last year too, but for the life of me I cannot remember the day, sometime in May I think...Peace, Ed & Rufuz

Sad write. I remember talking to you during this time. I hope the grief passes for you and yours.
