ok i found you.
told you that i could do
with caller ID
now you'll see
just who I be
and what i do
that be true
i told you
i talked with your Dad
he was sad
then he got mad
thought his daughter
shoulda' woulda' outta'
known better
i said...
"don't be rough
don't be too tough
just tell her 'enuff is 'enuff
i'm tired of this stuff"
i'm wired
and this is the wrong line
she's walkin'a fine line
messin' with my mind
if she were mine
i'd just remind
her
you are never for sure
who you be callin'
after allin'
"sorry...wrong number"
disturbing my slumber
are only words
so many times
they lose their rhymes
he apologigized
and i realized
'twern't him makin' the calls
after all's
she just be a kid
that much was never hid
and i never did
what i could do
but i told him, i sold him on what i can do
told him i wanted him to know
to grow
don't mess with people on the phone
not on your own
'cause you just might get thrown
the word's the wrong way
"sorry...wrong number"
and you just might pay
for disturbing my slumber
do you ever wonder
if i was a purvert
i'd find you
the same way i did
on my pc
can you see
what caller ID did
&me
what we can do
so don't do it again
don't begin
an endless circle
for you without end
lucky for you
i be an old man
a friend
the end
