i want to write a poem so bad but i lost the words that i had i can't find the words to say only thing that comes to mind is word play
tomorrow is my Dad's 85th birthday 85 years of tears & fears a year ago last June Mom passed on i think he know's it's His Time soon time to go on today i paid his funeral exspense what' the $$$ & cents in waitin' do it today what can i say you always have to pay anyway to live there's taxes or ex's to die there's the grave so what do you save waitin' for another day? anyway... i looked him in the eye and i started to cry why do i have to be the one to say "good-bye"? i got 2 brothers same dad same mother others than me but they not be here where i am GD D*N to feal the fear to shed the tear to feal the sorrow of tomorrow they just borrow from me see i be here and they be there they don't see that blank stair they don't see the wish to live the hope to give the fear of dyin' the will to keep on tryin' the silently cryin' they don't see what i see they don't feal what i feal my Dad & i we get by sometimes we laugh sometimes we cry sometimes we wonder why sometimes we just get by but he & i we try sometimes there's thunder sometimes there's rain sometimes the sun shines sometimes that's fine but, sometimes there's pain when we out live our yesterday's what can we say's about tomorrows our sorrow's guess we just borrow's from today's anyways tomorrow's my Dad's Birthday 85 here's a high 5 thank GOD you're still alive

Lucky to still have your dad, Steve, mine died at 68 and I was approx 35...wish he was still here as is yours, but...high five from me to your dad as well...tell him to stick around another year...Peace to you Both, Ed & Rufuz

Hi Steve:

I know exactly how you feel. My brother here and I are the ones who are really close to my mom and dad. Since my Dad passed away in February, my mom is left here with us. We just try to give her the emotional support everday. Others who care by sending money from overseas, but it's different. They aren't as close. My mom confides in me very often lately, and sometimes it hurts too to here her say, "I don't know why I'm still here." - so I know how you feel about your dad. Your emotional support will be greatly appreciated by your Dad, for he knows you are always here for him.
