i've got two calenders
in this house
they both be quiet as a mouse

one's in the kitchin'
i might minchin'
with that one i keep track
it don't cut me no slack
ain't no goin' back

from day to day
what's comin' my way
erasable
so that i'm able
to change
re-arrange
things
that life brings
as they come and go
just so i'll know
appointments & such
not much

doctors, nurses, etc. etc. etc.
so i don't forgetta
those things that be
that i have to do
i have to see
who's who
and where today be

then there's the one
in my room
when all's said & done
this one has no gloom
nor doom

it just hangs on the wall
that's all
pictures for me
to see
i got it free

don't you know
it just does show
cowboy's & horses
and of courses
Texas things
photo's of cowboys with wings

i got it for me
it was free
but i see
where i'd like to be

even tho'
an old hippie i be
i know
the Texican in me

i looked today
and it still say May
what can i say
i lost my way

so i moved thru June
that passed too soon
into July
don't ask me why
time had just passed me bye

why try
to go back in time
any rythmn or rhyme
would just be a lie
least now it says July

a cowboy & a horse
gettin' a drink
of cool clear water
of course
it made me think
what i oughta'
"what happened to May
& June"
they passed
too fast
gone too soon
they didn't last

and soon
it will be August
and i must
face the new moon
find my own tune

'cause then it'll be December
and i will remember
the days gone
bye
wonderin' why
that song got done
and what was sung
back in May & June
December's come too soon

with the rising
and the setting
of each Sun
each day has begun & is done

ain't it surprising
there ain't no forgetting
May & June
for all too soon
there's December
and you try to remember
that the year is gone
just an old song
you already sang
got dang

back when you were young
when you first begun
ain't that that thing
the song that we sing

calendars'
remember 'er's
of days past
when time didn't last

i be behind in time
but i still have a rhyme
a rhytmn
that was given
in a calendar
in a morning star
that's where i be
that's where i are
that be me

least i caught up with today
'cause yesterday
has already passed away

all i have is December
to remember
or maybe
August
September
October
Novemember
then there's always December

least one thing's for shore
one calen-door
is erasable
unmistakebale

so i'm able
to start each day
in a new way
come what may
today is today

Hard to hold on to the days.. hard to keep track of out life and time.. as it has it's own agenda...
