a reflection
of the defection
a deflection
of who you be
of who you see
there in the mirror
where you face the fear a'
who you be
of what you see
there in the mirror
those of you
who read me
know me
know what i do
and who i be
and what i see
there in the mirror
will see
what i see
there reflected back at me
just how it be
there be
"I"
just wonderin' "why?"
sometime i just cry
as my Life passes me bye
i've got a 16
year old son
he be a son of a gun
see
he be like me
but he ain't mean
just tall & lean
but he's got the addiction
that affliction
that intention
no one want's to mention
right now
he's in a re-hab unit
somehow
i hope that will do it to it
but, when he
looks in the mirror
what does he see?
hope it's not the fear a'
bein' another me.
but,
what does he see?
there in the mirror
what is his fear a'?
each week i drive
30 miles
just to see his smiles
and i strive as i drive
to survive
all the whiles
to be sober & clean
know what i mean?
before i can see him
i meet with "them"
fathers & mothers
and others
in the other's
families
they just be's
who they be's
they don't mean much to me's
but most of them
don't understand
her or him
they never will
they just pay the bill
woman nor man
they'll never understand
what it takes
to awakes
with your self
top shelf
and what it took
to look
in the mirror
what it took
to say
as you look
ok
today...
i'll be sober & clean
know what i mean?
it makes you lean.
to say
just for today
a minute at a time
i'll rhyme
without reason
i'll pass thru this season
the other families
that be's with me's
i'll hear them say
i'll hear them pray
i'll hear them yell
i'll hear them tell
about all the hell
they've been thru
but what can they do?
what can you do
about you...
there in the mirror
facin' the fear a'
bein' you
what do you do?
a ? so true .
i try to tell
"i know your hell"
but i can't spell
it out for them
their lights are to dim
they don't see her or him
Bout time you get up from your slumber,
Going to bed after 5am,
No wonder u so late cut lumber,
Good track this poem does take,
Good for your son, good for his dad, hey no fake,
Hope your son does well in re-hab,
You need to be that shining star for him,
No more drinking for you, may help with his addiction,
Keep up the writing or as you said to me, write, write, write,
Seems to me to be only right...
This combined narrative dialogue and play is about the uncreated, unborn and undying transcendent Self of God-consciousness and Buddha-nature. It describes an odyssey of transcendent Consciousness Awakening and Remembrance.
Explains the realizations that have given the author the views of living life fully. The life each person dreams about.
You must take a look at yourself before dreams can be reached.
Deciding what is the core of belief.
Going to bed after 5am,
