Dog Days
of Summer
comin' my ways
what a bummer

it's 93 degrees
outside
and it's after 5
ain't no jive
glad i'm still alive
this heats gettin' to me's
ain't no place to hide
i just be where i am
damn
it's 93

and this just be
July
man, these Dog Days
are gettin' to me
don't ask me why
but i just lays
around
play's around
waitin' for the sound
of a cool north wind
waitin' for these Dog Days to end

but i still got August
and September
they be a must
heat & dust
and if i remember
correctly
they be the worst

those Dog Days i curse

so hot
your bubble could burst
those Dog Days
i like not
be glad when they pass there ways

'cause those Dog Days
you pays
with hurricains
with pains
there in your heart
that just be a part
of the Dog Days
all you can do is watch the weather veins
those Dog Days
you just wait to go aways

but then comes October
a northerly wind
a cool breeze
with eaze
it does blow
then you know
the Dog Days are done
ain't no more
of that hot sun to remember
the Dog Days are on the run
that be fore shore

summer
that bummer
is said & done
long gone
dun' sung that song
right or wrong
it's past
those Dog Days
never last

then i wait for November
December
the cold & the rain
man, there's some pain
ain't that insane

from one season
to another
oh brother
after all
there's always fall
and spring
yeah that be
my thing

i like it cool
the song that i sing
not too hot
not too cold
but just write
day & night
that don't grow old

but then again
don't we all begin
with January
Febuary
March
April
& June
they all come too soon
each has it's own full moon

don't we wish if we could
to go back to where we began
wish it was
like it 'twas
winter, summer, spring or fall
when we first began
afterall
as the season's pass
and if we still last
the past is just the past

we all have our Dog Days
those that comes our ways
that be all i have to says
about Life's Dog Days
anyways

from January to December
i hope to remember
the Dog Days
and each days
aa they go
their own ways
i hope to grow
i hope to know

i hope to show
the Dog Days
as they passed aways

Temps in the mid 80's here during the day, in the 70's at night,
You chose to live in Texas where the heat stays around after the light,
I swear to you, you could be livin' in Joisey where everything is just right...

I will think about you when I am swimming in the cool, cool ocean on Saturday, tomorrow I get to work again, isnt that just ducky?

I hope I can just get up on time, I start at 8am, not something I do very often, LOL!

I got your message, peace, bro' Ed & Rufuz
