things
aren't always as they seem
think about the moon beam
it's just a reflection
a deflection
that the sun's light brings
and the sun's light
tho it shine bright
still
wait's for the night
it always will
a rose in spring
is a beautiful thing
but come's the winter's cold
it grows old
and dies
and there it lies
it's seen it's day
now it's passed it's way
and there it lay
on the ground
without a sound
that rose had to pay
for the beauty it had
how sad
and if you're young
it's a young song you've sung
but when you're old
it's you're story you've told
so be bold
and just take hold
of havin' beeen young
and remember the young song that you sung
and what it brung
and if it's love
you're thinkin' of
it too will die
pass you bye
it's all just a lie
don't ask me why
but give it a try
before you die
a laugh is a cry
a tear is just fear
knowin' eternity's near
oh dear
afterall, it's only a tear
it's only fear
thing's
aren't always
what they seem
know what i mean
remember the moon beam
but at it's best
it had it's gleam
now it can rest
least it once was a moon beam
another day has past
that moon beam knew it couldn't last
so with Life
and Love
a Rose
bein' Young
bein' Old
with a Laugh or a Cry
a Tear or a Fear
give it a Try
we'll never Know Why
Eternity is near
like a moon beam
things
ain't always as they seem
for each of us
what does Eternity brings
guarantee
it's something's
we never thought
we never sought
we never bought
we never ought
to be
but things ain't much like they seem
just remember the moon beam
just a reflection
of the sun
when day has ended
or has a new day begun
and what is tomorrow sendin'
just a personal reflection
on my Life & Love
and all of the above
may not have got it right
but i like to write
so writ it i did
i try not to hid
in moon beams
'cause thing's are'nt always as they seem
