down to my last cigarette
but you can bet
i'll go to the store
and buy one pack more
that's for certain, that's for sure...
down to my last chance at love
don't know what i was thinkin' of
when i threw away
a love i thought would stay
ah! i remember that day
when our love was no more
that's for certain, that's for sure
down to my last chance to live
down to my last chance to give
to make a turn around
to hear the sound
of where my Life is bound
Life is a chore
that's for certain, that's for sure
down to my last chance to Be
down to my last dance with Me
down to my last chance to See
what God's got in store
that's for certain, that's for sure...
down to my last cigarette
and yet
maybe i won't buy one more
maybe i won't love agin'
maybe my Life will end
but then again
maybe i will begin
maybe i'll be Me
maybe i will See
that there is more
behind tomorrow's door...
that's for cerain, that's for sure...
'cause Life ain't a pack of cigarettes
and you can bet's
you can't go to the store
and buy one Life more...
That's cool :-) I heard that being sung (vaguely Paul Weller like, with a guitar) as I was reading it. I like the "that's for certain, that's for sure" rhythm a lot.
This combined narrative dialogue and play is about the uncreated, unborn and undying transcendent Self of God-consciousness and Buddha-nature. It describes an odyssey of transcendent Consciousness Awakening and Remembrance.
This book presents a narrative story of one person's journey of transcendental Awakening and Enlightenment as guided by his two Sage companions. It is grounded in Zen Buddhist and Taoist perspective and uses the I Ching as its structural framework. T
Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
