last night
i lay awake
until the morning light
for my own sake
i coulnd't sleep
it was all so deep
'guess it 'twas
a readin' & weep
a night so steep
there was only darkness
with it's starkness
black sky's
sittin' & wonderin' why's
i couldn't even cry's
no long last goodbye's
for yesterday's
that had passed my way's
sunny day's
after midnight
there was only the sight
of yesterday's
that had passed my way's
waitin' 'till the sun to rise
and to my surprise
it did
but it was hid
in gray skie's
and still wonderin' why's
there were goodbye's
Life had passed my by's
still i couldn't cries
i knew the tears
what they be but fears
and years
lie's
and trie's
and passed me by's
my Life was passing me by
nice try
once a day at a time
with it's own rhythmn
with it's own given
just livin'
one day at a time
with no rhyme
my Life passed me by's
one night at a time's
into that Fraternity
into that Eterenity
of The Dead
i was lead
just one more lost soul
seeking his whole
filling that hole
inside
beside
second's, minute's, hour's & day's
they all pass their own way's
there in the night
there without light
that be my plight
all right
my flight
my fright
my fight
into another day
as dawn comes my way...
a book that's been read
inside of my head
and thrown aside
The Fraternity of The Dead
no place to hide
that's been said
there in the darkness
there in the starknes
of Reality
of the way things be
no way to See's
except in the Sunrise
and to my surprise
it did
it hid
i slept away
it's gray
rainy day
with rain
and all of it's pain
with thunder
off in the sky
i wondered
a wandered
be hind sleepless eye's
i wondered's the why's
i wandered thru sleepless door's
and i slept
like never i slept before's
payin' my due's & my dept
silently i wept
about Eternity
anfd the Fraternity
of The Dead
and i read
the Book
that i took
with this sunrise
and this sun set
you can bet
i let
it grow
i bet you know
The Fraternity
of The Dead
Eternity
is a book
you read
if you need
all it took
was just one look
i was lead
there to my bed
spell's be & simplicity
Life is this Thing
Reality
before i join
a won't to hear it's song
after the Book's been read
The Fraternity of The Dead
at 55 i'm still alive
with wings
to fly
and i try
to bet
and yet
at any momoent i can die
and my poetry
will die with me
can you see
that's how it be
Eternity
Fraternity
of the Living
and the Dead
giving
a poem that's unread
instead
i live
i give
word's in song
right or wrong
they belong
i sing
i bring
reality
to how it be
to be
among the Fraternity's
of THE Dead
that's where i'm lead
to The Fraternity of The Dead
Life is Death
with your last breath
you'll die
don't ask why
just be
a part of me
from the start
straight from your heart
that's how it be
Death's Fraternity
