as in the past
i crawl
to Her knee
just to Be
just to be near
Her Wall
just to Hear
Her Sweet Call
but It will never last
just as in the past
i will Fall
night & day
day & night
in the Light
or in Her Darkness
there in Her Starkness
try as i may
try as i might
i can't go away
so there i lay
by Her Wall
Knowing She will take my All
i Listen to my Siren's Call
yes, my Siren's Call
i hear
and though i shed a Tear
and though i tremble with Fear
i still stay near
because She is so Dear
and though i know Her Truth is a Lie
still i lie close by
and though She is my Distress
still She is my Mistress
She could be nothing more, She would be nothing Less
unless, She was just my Nothingness
and though i Hear Her Hiss
Her sweet Kiss i Miss
that False Bliss there in Her Kiss
and though She will take my All
and though She will be my Downfall
still i Listen to my Siren's Call
Alcohol

I think you captured what the lure of the siren's call is.
Oh my goodness Steve, what an impassioned poem! It's a very sensual and personal love song and yet, it's also a devastating ode of dread. It's a masterpiece of expression relating to your dueling feelings towards alcohol. Bravo!
