no GOD?

or would i be Glad?

if i had no GOD,
would i still tramp & trod
thru my Life's muddy Sod?

could i still
dance & play?
knowing someway
that after Today
i would just go Away?

and late at Night
or in the Day,
could i Write?
what would i Say?

would i have a Song?
what would i Sing?
if there was no Right,
what would be Wrong?
what would my Music bring,
if all i could See
was my own Sight?
if all that Was was me,
who would "I" Be?

if i had no " I AM "
would i give a damn?
would my Life just be a Shamn?
would Death not be Afraid
of "The Blood of The Lamb"?
and when i was layed
into my grave,
would my Debt be paid?
Who would my Soul save?

how would i Face each Day,
if i Belived that Today
would just pass Away?
how would i Deal with my Sorrow,
if i Belived there was no Tomorrow?

could i just lie & cheat,
kill & steal?
would that be neat?
would that be Real?
could i just pilage & rape
to Escape
my Misery?
if all i could See,
if All that Be
was "me",
what would Life's mystery be,
if in Death
there was only a Last Breath?

all i can Say
is each day
i awake & i pray
that i am Not
the " I AM ",
that i am NOT,
The Lamb
that Be.
that All i can See
is not just in me.

i have a GOD
who helps me to plod
and trod
thru my Earthly Sod.
"The Great I AM"
who does give a damn
about me,
and what i Do
and who i Be.
