in this poetry
i just write about me
i echo
"hello"
i pay homage
to the bondage
i write about the
"I"
and the sinner i Be

an unchained melody
a rhapsody
about chains
about my pains
i write 'bout bein' insanes
and the grains
of time
that pass me bye
i writes to regain
some of my losses
about those thang's
that have been my bosses
heads & tails & those losses
i write to rhyme
1 verse at a time

the chains
of Love
i've known
the wings
of a Dove
yup, i was shown
and i've grown
just bit's by of a bone
i've learned to live
all alone
for Love i had
too bad
so sad
but i'm still glad
yes, Love i've known
hair & bone
i've known
while all alone

strong drink
i think
made me sink
in the blink
of an eye
i heard "goodbye"
and why?
did i sigh
and i did cry
the truth is in the lie
"goodbye"
a nice try
but 'goodbye"
my heart
felt that part
that part
of me
that part
that is poetry
that part
that is me
that part
i can see
just 'who" i be
an unchained melody

an unchained
melody
bound by the sound
of histories
and mystery's
and used ta' be's
and wanna' be's
that part i still see's
unchained
by time or rhyme
insaned by love & drink
a me about me
an unchained melody
still locked in the chains
of my pains
of misories
a melody
unchained

a melody
for ever locked
in a rythmn
in a song blocked
by what it is was given
and where i was liven
unchained
by Love & my next drink
yup, there i'd sink
and wink a blink
one last try
one last "goodbye"
there i did
i did, i hid
in Love
and my next drink
lost in a "goodbye"
forever i did try
to be unchained
in my melody
a "wanted it to be"
Love
i wanted to give it a shove
i wanted all of the above

to Love & to Drink
i think
that don't mix to well
ah hell,
an unchained melody
a poem to tell
unchained
un-refrained
untold
a song bold
a Life sold
into time
a timely rhyme
a memory
an unchained melody

chained by time
lost in my mind
a rythmn & a ryhme
that once was mine
unchained
a melody
unchanged
with words
that were heards
except "goodbye"
the truth
within' a lie
an unchained melody
chained to me
by my Heart
there in the unchanged part
of me
a Love True
a do what you do
a Drink
there where i sink
from gray into blue
an "i love you"

an unchained melody
of you & of me
a Love
that used to be
the wings of a Dove
yup, that Love
before it was unchained
before there were chains
before the pains
before i was insane
before Love had past
before an unchained melody
before a an ex-you & an ex-me
before a Love
that didn't last
before all that remained
was, 'twas

an unchained melody
of you & of me
and of the Love that used to be
a Song
before it all went wrong
chained by the chains
that never did belong
chained by a song

chained my an unchained melody
chained by you and chained by me

chained by the words
we heard.
chained by Love.
and unchanged
by the unchained meloday.
changed by Love, an
unchained melody.

an unchanged rhapsody
me 2 you.
an unchained melody.

Now that you're "unchained" from a bottle, your poetry seems much more melodious, but either way, I enjoy reading my friend from Texas...Ed

Okay and I can go along with what Karen wrote. I loved the music to the song and this poem fits so well with it.
