the next place i'll be
won't be here

mom died in 2003
dad this year

got bunches a' kids
and grands too
6 a' each
oh and a wife and 2

but what' ya' do
when
ya' look at the wind
and see
a road
the next place i'll be

ya' leave behind
all kind
a' things
but the road will brings
ya' new springs

new summers and falls
winters too
that's true
but what i do
is up to me
see
i make my own calls

somtimes i stumble
somtimes i stagger
somtimes i mumble
somtimes i swagger

somtimes i see
who i be
sometimes i ain't got a clue
do you

but if i go
wherever i go
maybe i'll grow
into ME
maybe i'll BE
who i was
or who i am
damn,
maybe i'll be ME

wherever i am
there i'll be
damn
there i BE

so here are there
or anywhere
or everywhere
i still stare
and wonder where
or wander there
where i was
just because
there was a cause
or a clause

the next place i 'll be
maybe i'll see
ME
right around the corner
where i wander
there i'll face
the trace
of who i am
damn

too may places
too many traces
too many faces
of me
the next place i'll be
will be me

In a way, I suppose we already know our destiny. We have the power to change the road but not the final destination. It is best just to be who we are and enjoy the ride.
Take care,
Sherry
