this old bag a' bones
is feelin' old
from what he bought
and what he sought
this old bag a' bones
is cold

no reason
no rhyme
no poets time
no season
can i feel
will i ever heal?

been runnin' so long
thought "so long"
was my song
hell, where do i belong
long gone

this old bag a' bones
sings his lonely songs
all alones
hollin' at the moon
cryin' like a baby
searchin' for a tune
still sayin' maybe...

this old bag a bones
all alones
by my Self
wonderin
wanderin
wishin
hopin
mopin
cryin
sighin
writin
prayin
just sayin

just a poet
a singer
some old gun slinger
sittin' on a bar stool
some old fool
playin' pool
a midnight dancer
some young or old prancer
with nuthin' but...

the words
he heards
in his head
where he's led
till he's dead
or words he once read
in a book
he took a look
to see
who he be
and he saw
me
that was all

that's me

this old bag a' bones
hates
bein' alones
hates the feel
of cold stones
but i be
me

just an old bag a' bones
all alones
and lonely
and blue
and red
with words yet unsaid

a poet i be
that be me
a singer
with a song
yet to be sung
but i ain't young

just
this old bag a bones
ta' carry me alongs
to the next phase
ta' the next phrase
just me
just my poetry

Just an old bag of bones are you and Rufuz does agree, we think you need to get yourself a dog, some companionship is what you need...Rufuz says go to the local shelter and adopt a nice doggy and treat him/her good, and they will give you years of enjoyment...Find Peace, Ed & Rufuz
