the dreams of a poet by Steve Patterson Monday, February 18, 2002 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i dreamed the dreams of a poet. and while i was dreaming life passed me by, and i didn't even know it. lost in verse and rhyme i wasted all my time. lost in the dreams of a dreamer, the pages of my life turned by. i still dream my dreams, i still search for the ryhme. but now i write the pages of the book that is my life.
