Saturday Morning
Summer
Walking
along The Bay

The Sun rises
slowly into a gray bank
of early morning clouds
refracted yellow, orange & red
on a field of blue sky

still breeze
calm waters
ships sailing out
into the horizon
a lone fisherman on a lonely pier
walkers, runners, bike riders

seagulls over the glass smooth waters
gentle ripples against the shore
the steel & glass of office buildings
reflecting the early morning colors
cars patiently cruising the ocean drive

morning dew
sparkling like small jewels
on the brown grass

a new morning's freshness
in the air

peaceful

as i stride
rhythmn-automatically
thru my morning stroll
my legs, arms & body
follow their routine

my mind
pauses
.......
and the images
of this point in Time
develope into a soft rhyme
