these Graveyard Shifts
will be
the Death of Me

such Rifts
they cause
in my efforts To Be
i need a Timely Pause
just To See

each Night
i work away
no Day Light
comes my way
Days just pass, they never Stay
no time to Play
no time to get it Right
no Day Light
just Night after Night

i can hardly Write
lost my Sight
such is my Plight

these Graveyard Shifts
cause such Rifts
they will be
the Death of Me
no Day Light
only Night
night after night
no Time to get it Right
no Time to Write

No Time To Be
Night is all i See
these Grayards will be The Death of Me

I've worked the graveyard shift....it is what you make of it. Otherwise, not a bad write.

Steve,

If I could wave a wand
my friend
You'd have time
without end
To do all the things
you want
Even to write with
newer font ;-)
You'd be able to rhyme
in 3/4 time
Or perhaps do haiku
in words sublime
but whatever you say
whenever you start
it always makes its way
right to our heart

Love and blessings
Eileen
