i've lived in the darkness
so long
i've learned to get along
without the light.
without my sight.
my eyes are accustomed
to the shades.
to the fades.
without the light.
without my sight.
indecision.
night vision.
then, when
there is the piercing bright,
the luminous insight,
it distorts, contorts,
reports
what i see of me.
too much clerity.
too clear a view
of who i am.
it's quite a slam
to my senses. to my fences.
the dark & light they fight.
collision
of sight
and night vision.
sometimes it's easier to see,
to Be,
Who you Are
from afar.
so it is i must decide
to hide, to slide
or ride the tide
of decision.
hard to do
with only
night vision.
