my hometown lies on a bay.
across the water the sunrises each day.

on a clear day when the sky is blue
the sun will rise with a bright orange hue.

somedays
the skys are gray
but thru the haze
the sun will play,
and share it's subtle rays.

on stormy days when the sky is black,
even then, the light will crack
and track it's way
across the bay.

and so it is with each sunrise,
if you're wise,
you'll see -
each day's about like it's supposed to be.

whether it's bright
ot dark as night,
there's always the Sun,
there's always the Light.
