People keep talkin',
tellin' me 'bout walkin'
thru Today.
"there's always Tomorrow".
Then there'll be less sorrow.

well,
how can i think about Tomorrow
when i ain't got no Today?
Today went away.
It left with Yesterday.
That's why there's the sorrow.

when all your plans
are also-rans,
when all your dreams
are only faded schemes,
when all your hope
has dropped off the end a' the rope,
All you can do is Cope.
ya' don't get to borrow
from Tomorrow.
That's why there's the sorrow.

ain't no Tomorrow,
It left with Today.
It went away
with Yesterday.
That's why there's the sorrow.
