too often these days i seem to be in a haze seem to have lost my ways a hollow phase i'm passin' thru payin' my due i can't seem to soften too often the things i see the things i feel things that are too real
it used to be my poetry came easily to me it's not the same and who's to blame that try as i might i've lost sight of phrases that rhyme of words that were mine i took it for granted that poems were planted in my head ready to be read but in my mind now it feels unkind i feel blind to poetic verse it seems a curse has fallen on me i can't seem to see the words in a song what's gone wrong where do i belong the words i utter just seem to clutter the page is it my age or is it the truth i ain't no sage tho long in the tooth no sooth sayer no player at all is this my fall have i lost my call have i hit my wall is that why i stall when try as i might i can't seem to write it seems like a dark night without any light is this my plight no moon beams no moon light to have written so much to rhyme and such is it time for me to clutch the old words the old rhymes to hold them one more times is that the given and that the take must i awake to the fact that it was all an act is that my fact is that my fear have i lost my call that was so dear have i hit my wall is that all with words so trite tho' try as i might have i lost sight is day now night can i still write poetry is that to be or have i lost me is that how it be to face each days without a timely phrase to live in a haze without a rhyme is that how i'll spend my time a poet i was a poet i be but 'twas my poetry me a question i ask that's it's own task will it last answers that lies with each new poems trys and so i write this trite little rhyme givin' me time a chance one last dance to poem one more time to rhyme to rhytmn the word's to be given a life of their own words that are liven' in their own time zone poems that'll go on & on they aren't mine they never were that's for sure i didn't find those words there in my mind they found me and now is see a poet i be with or without my poetry alive is me poetry in me inside words i can't hide poetry poems rhytmns & rhymes lost & found in their own times poetry poems rhythmns & rhymes oh to poem one last time

i love your poem'to poem one more time'!i'm new to author's den so, i only just read your great poem...being a bit of a wordsmith myself,i adore how it tickled my graymatter, bounced along my synapse with the greatest of ease,and look forward to reading it,(as well as others you've written),many,many times...bless you,autumn
