This is a prayer for my country, the Philippines, the only Catholic nation in the Far East, yet the most corrupt and idolatrous nation in the whole world. I can say - we are not a Christian nation, because we have a form of religion, but we do not have God. May He grant my prayer for His glory!
Have mercy on my country
For we are a cursed nation,
Immersed in idolatry
And all abomination.
This bondage of Religion
Has kept our nation lost
The evil of Babylon-
In all corruption tossed.
Our people are deceived,
By this Roman form of lies
Unchanged and unperceived,
In falsehood they all die.
Our most religious leaders
They are the most corrupt.
They steal yet kneel in prayer,
With greed that never has enough.
Oh Lord, please save my people!
With scales their eyes are blind,
Pour Your Light to make us able
To see Your Truth, renew our mind.
God bless us with abundance
Of Righteousness and Grace,
Lord, grant us Your Deliverance!

In 1965, I sailed through the Philippines on my way to Vietnam. At the time, I was young and unaware of such need for prayer for this nation of islands. Now, I can sense your strong desire for Divine intervention throughout this land you hold dear to your heart. I will pray for their deliverance in a mighty way. All things are still possible with God. Thank you for this wonderful prayer. It is whispered with absolute beauty, and I'm certain that God views it as being sweeter than the honeycomb. Excellent prayer. If you could just get them to read the New Testament they'd see what Christ thought of Religion, and they'd be more inclined to seek Relationship with God through Christ. I join in you prayer. Blessings, J'nia

I will keep the Phillippines in my prayers, Cynthia; sad to think that they won't honor Christ. I'm afraid America is becoming this way, too, and it really makes me sad! May you have a very happy Easter and may it be full of love, hope, laughter, and above all, joy! And remember the Cross (which you have)!
