In the dead silence My heart recited your name I find myself again in waiting as the conspiracy between my soul and spirit wrestles this body of mine to the cold and dusty ground
I am as arid as the desert and His rib that formed me is slowly cracking and crumbling to where the splinters are splicing through the bony frail cartilage which use to protect me from unforeseen pain
Now you left me exposed to the bruising side of you the angle which believes that hiding truths of newest adventures might cause me to become forlorn and die
I'm not pure nor am I that weak Use to taking the extra serving that settles as unnecessary excess around a stretched waistband of pompousity
Releasing it all in a colonic fast that wipes the slate of my life clean for a brand new day
Was it not I who agreed to love by the measure returned despite the unplanned acts purged of our nature that at times could cause a cosmic meltdown in a very ordinary circumstance?
but we were never ordinary and there was never anything we couldn't work out
Do you think I forgot the unconditional way you came to conquer my life and reshape my future holding my hand as my very life became the target of demise and destruction?
I will always be grateful emitting understanding because understanding was emitted to me
More than faintly I can still see those eyes that mixed with my own into beautiful colors of gold and green haze like the first sun of morning setting footprints in a row that we surrender to easily letting summer's breeze float us from one point to the next
I also know that you being not use to unconditional things might have a difficult time conceiving my mindset
So rest assured in knowing that if I ever said I loved you than I still do
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
