Picasso Found
How did I find you?
stepping softly in my dreams
you've awakened my purpose
my passion to just breathe/
world soul, created me over,
packed damp clay around
my chipped surfaces,
smooth me into a beautiful statue,
a finger bowl by your bedside,
dip in it gently/
twisting brown curls,
forehead rubs, finger massages
tremors soothed by liquid peace
the thought of your voice
simply sends me
I find rest, somber sleep/
problems melt when the canvass
succumbs delightfully under
careful tender strokes
never stopping until
I sigh deeply/
a broken mold
overlooked by so many
in a pathway of darkness
a Picasso,
I Found.
