Upon tentative approach, others see a tigress fierce pacing the perimeter. Many turn and back away from the pulsing jungle of her heart.
Within: wild variety, rising treetop canopy, tangled vines traversed. Shade cools hot passion’s pain plain to see. In central clearing, monkeys chatter.
Through her flows a twisting brook where she goes to dream when world has worn her down. There, spirit’s higher thoughts and feelings pure coalesce to form crystal promise,
And she discovers daily fresh wonders, wonders daily about wide discoveries yet to be made, thinks of that adventure she imagined would be.
Golden eyes ever roam, on guard against those who would invade sacred garden or threaten life endangered, that which she protects and nourishes inside her jungle heart.
Ferocity, gentleness: both are hers in equal measure. She moves with prowess from world without to world within – one she waits to share with him.
awesome poem!
"Ferocity, gentleness:
both are hers in equal measure."
I love that line...
