Who can explain
enchanted effect
you have on me?
You tame the tempest,
change my mind from
turbulence to calm.
You loose chains
of rigidity
that have kept me
bound to fear.

Even now, when
we could be no further
distanced or divided,
I am blessed,
broken,
meager gift of me
multiplied by
your memory,
mere mention of
your name.

Now I have
no need to know
why or how.
Ask not if
it’s real. It is
my peace.
I have learned
to embrace the mystery,
strange familiarity
you bring.

Your voice
calls to me
from desert oasis
lush with healing love.
Invisible hands
touch me
with a balm
that restores me,
and I am made
well again.

healing hands, healing voice, they can be a godsend when you're in a dark place. Right on the money here, Dawn!

beautiful poetry, Dawn ... to be healed by love is more than one can ask for ...

Love the Biblical quality of the second stanza which gives a mystical, "blessed" feel to this soothing write, Dawn; such a graphic description of the sensation of feeling a warm love flood through our veins - we can be as poured out wine, after that! Thank you for reaching out and drawing each of us in to your oasis of calm - shade in a weary desert, for sure. LOL Kate xx

The touch of love will do that. It seems to heal all our aches and pains and restores us heart and soul to life.
Excellent work Dawn.

Has depth, resolve, sensitivity of a relationship on the edge...but in the end...healing and completeness.

Extraterrorestrial Beings v4 by RickthePoetWarrior

Our heroes are revealed for all they are, the final flash of a dying star, for with this pen I do they mar, with hopes I leave ‘em all a scar.

These Black and Blue Red Zone Days by Aberjhani

Just as life during the pandemic was color-coded with different hues representing different levels of danger, life in its aftermath has become shaded in similar ways. As a self-styled “Seeker of Beauty with Beauty,” (borrowing from a quote by W.E.B.
