hey AD friends! i've been hibernating for awhile, but here comes the sun. thought i'd peek in. hope to get back to reading soon. haven't forgotten you. take care, Dawn

In the End, We Begin

In my last breath a symphony
will swell and all the world
shall know I loved you well
and long as the years without you, true
as the stillness in winter’s starry sky.

Though I speak it not, know I’ve held
these things, treasure that you are, deep
within, where all thought is but a pulse
quickening, where speech and sound
dissolve into the hum of an oceanic sky.

My soul sings and believes still
in heaven’s distant home rising
beneath the missing you inside of me.
We will rest one day in the other’s
arms, fly beyond blue field of separation.

Then with flaming sword of purest hope
we shall pierce this emptiness through.
And you will see me for who I am,
and we will stomp our feet in joy
and laugh and never cry again.

Dawn,

Welcome back. :) A wonderful shout of celebration, indeed, as Kate Burnside has said...stay strong! A lovely, inspiring write, thank you--

Truly winter into spring here, Dawn, and a triumphal vernal shout of celebration! I have missed you but hope that your "hibernation" finds you rejuvenated and re-energised... certainly seems so! A "youth springs eternal" write which speaks of an inner confidence. I like the strength of the form and structure that underpins this. "Strong" diction, too. TY Kate xx

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
