Sssshhhhh. I’ve got a secret.
Look deep into the sky stretched out, more beautiful
than any painting. Listen to the swish of wild wind.
Smell the dewy blades in the field of fresh green.
Breathe in slowly. Hold it. Savor life; let it go,
know there will always be more than enough.
Taste the juicy red garden tomato.
Pour the glass of cool water
over your body, warmed
by the afternoon sun.
Let the joy fill you
until it spills out
everywhere.

Quick, tell everybody you can!
Life’s secret must be shared
and so multiplied.
Shout it out.
Pass it on.
Rejoice.

Yes! Joy, the birds can feel it and loudly proclaim it. And a fully-ripened(what a concept) tomato off the vine is better than an apple! This is glorious, Dawn...

I do believe this was something of what I was struggling to express in In Your Shade, but you have captured that quintessential "drop" of insight and feeling so much more effectively here, Dawn. I love the twist: it's like a Eureka! shout, and the form reminds me of a diving board! Yep, take the plunge and dive in to this one! :)) TY Kate xx
