in pre-dawn stillness

haunting melody -

life's labor pains

effervescent wind

brimming with Creator's joy

spills its cup of grace

spring clouds -

my spirit reclines

into a pillowed hope

crippled wolf spider -

cursed by unlucky seven

longs for even eight
