It is not an easy journey we make – those of us who dare to do more than congregate in the valley of shadow.
We all reach some point, exhausted in body or soul, troubled in mind or heart, when we sink to our knees.
Beneath an unforgiving sun, we beg for healing rain, plead for some beginning again, some other way.
There are those who fall and do not rise, who become hopelessly lost in the forest of their own fear, who refuse to go on like this.
But somewhere high in the mountains, those who walk on, by faith if not by sight, will find an everlasting stream.
By the cool waters, we will kneel to drink and we shall thirst never again. We shall be made complete.
Into the riverwe will flow as one, and every weighted stone shall be removed from our hearts; every grief washed clear.
Hope will be restored; love reimagined. Joy will gush from Spirit streams, our source. This world’s journey ended, we shall come to rest – and be born to life again.
What a pleasure it is to kneel beside you and
drink from the stream called Hope. You drew us
here with skill and compassion. T h a n k

Very insightful, full of hope and uplifting. We have been given choices afterall. There will be mountains to climb and rivers to swim - its up to us to believe and carry on or to give up on the faith. Beautiful write, Dawn!
You take us there and back again with this evocative and wonderfully imaged write, Dawn. Uplifting and hope-filled, you inspire us to get back up and get on. No matter how many times we stumble, we only ever "fail" if we fail to get up and carry on. Each trip and detour is ultimately part of the process of moving forwards beneath that, as you so beautifully describe, "unforgiving sun"; but even HE needs a break, right?! Always in search of the source is the WTG. Thank you, this is a great way to gather both my thoughts and to group my sights this Monday morning! LOL Kate xx
This is my personal inspirational book of poetry. It contains many poems written for family, friends, and relevant life situations. Hopefully you will find some that will encourage and inpsire you in whatever arena you are found in your circle of l
