for Jim

All day you have come to life again in me.
Though in my dream last night you were dying
and though in the context of this world’s reality you passed
six years ago into a realm beyond my knowing, today,
inside the ocean of my heart you have breathed
and grown. You have expanded my thinking
to encompass all you came to tell me
then and now.

The upheaval caused by your recurrent resurrection,
it is nothing. But your present choice to be here now
is everything to me. No words can describe the way you have
planted the essence of you in this soil of me screaming out
for some purpose, to be of some service to somebody
somewhere some way. You leave me blessed,
broken, changed forever… even speechless
now and then.

Dawn, I liked this very much. Life and death, these are cycles, not beginnings and endings. Now and then, we are blessed with the ability to pass through and beyond the barriers, if only through lasting love.

This is exceptional, Dawn. You have articulated something that is perhaps very difficult to even get the mind around, let alone express in concrete ways. Yet, with precision and wholly graspable concepts and language - and concisely! - you have given us the whole picture - of the man, and of your own response to his impact on your life. And thank you, Jim! If he is somehow involved in making you the beautiful and caring person that you are in the here and now, we, as friends and poets, are very, very grateful! We require nothing more of your "service" than for you to simply be YOU. Great write from a great person whose poetry blesses many. TY Kate xx And I love the idea that Jim is somehow growing too! Wonderful perspective.

WOW. this is a fantastic write. It goes into the blood stream without any condition and sets up a camp inside the heart to make love within the manking of love. Excellent.

High intensity write, Dawn. Your pen screams out in this one even if you are rendered speachless.
Take care,
